Our website will be best viewed in Internet Explorer 4.5 or Netscape 4.0 or above with a monitor resolution setting of 800x600 or 1024x728. Our site also utilizes some java scripting - a feature thay may have to be turned on manually in some internet browsers. The java scripting we use is to enhance how the user navigates through our site. It allows visitors to go to any page from any page without being forced to return to a main (hub) page.

Below are explinations of and instructions for fixing the two common problems you may have viewing this or any website. If you still encounter problems please feel free to contact me with a discription of the problem and the internet browser you are using so I may assist you.

To determine the version of your browser (this works with most all computer programs):

Open your browser. Click "Help" from the menu options then choose "About" from the fly out menu. This should give you information about the program including the version number.

The two common problems viewing websites:

One is that the browser's cache (a memory feature that allows your browser to store webpages on your computer to make them load faster when they are revisited) is not set to automatically refresh (update) if changes have been made to a webpage. This memory feature would effect all websites you visit frequently.

To change this feature in Internet Explorer:

Open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools" from the menu options. Then choose "Internet Options" from the fly out menu. In the Internet Options box you should see a section marked "Temporary Internet Files" and a button marked "Settings...". Click the settings button. In the settings box you will see "Check for newer versions of stored pages..." Choose the "every visit to the page" option. Click "OK" to close this box. Then click "OK' to close the Internet Options box. To insure that the changes have taken effect you should close Internet Explorer and then reopen it before continuing to use the program.

To change this feature in Netscape:

Open Netscape. Click "Edit" from the menu options. Then choose "Preferences..." from the fly out menu. Click the + (plus sign) next to "Advanced" in the catagory menu tree. Then click the "Cache". Choose the 'Every Time" option under "Document in cache is compared to..". Click "OK" to close the "Preferences" box. To insure that the changes have taken effect you should close Netscape and then reopen it before continuing to use the program.

The other problem could be that the "allow java scripting" feature may not be turned on in your browser. This is most common in Internet Explorer

To change this feature in Internet Explorer older than 6.0:

Open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools" from the menu options. Then choose "Internet Options" from the fly out menu. Click the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down until you see the section marked "Microsoft VM". (If you do not see this section then your browser is new enough that Java Logging is automatically enabled) The box next to "Enable Java Logging" should be checked. If not click the box to active it. Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" box. To insure that the changes have taken effect you should close Internet Explorer and then reopen it before continuing to use the program.
