Obituary

TOLEDO-Aaron Mathias Huseboe, 87, a resident of Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama and formerly of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.
Aaron was born September 27, 1923, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Marion and Evelyn (Stonewall) Huseboe.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 in the South Pacific and North Atlantic.
On June 23, 1969, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Faust Wilson in Ottawa, Illinois.
He retired from Lennox in Marshalltown in 1985 after thirty-nine years of service. Aaron enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in the garden and yard. He was very fond of dogs and cats.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Dorothy in 2006; his step-daughter, Cindy Thede; three brothers, Dale, Merle and Eldon; and his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Huseboe.
Survivors include three sons, Allen, Duane and Kevin Huseboe all of Marshalltown; two step-daughters, Stevie (David) Johnson of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Rosi (Jerry) Sprague of Waterloo; one step-son, Skip (Chris) Wilson of Toledo; one step son-in-law, Mike Thede of Toledo; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Laverne Huseboe.
