Alexah Marva Mauskemo, 30, of Tama, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A Traditional Wake will be held Thursday evening, September 12, 2024 at the Glenn Roberts' Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at McIntosh Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Alexah was born on June 9, 1994, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Alexander Kevin Mauskemo and Marva Roberts.

She graduated from Meskwaki High School.

Alexah enjoyed watching Sponge Bob, going to concerts, driving Ko-Ko to different places and always laughing. Her greatest joy was being with family, especially her children, Marva and Xander.

Survivors include her children, Marva Morgan and Xander Mauskemo; brother, Derrick Mauskemo; grandmother, Elizabeth Roberts; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Delilah Mauskemo; paternal grandparents, Alexander Mauskemo Sr. and Marjorie Mauskemo; maternal grandfather, Isaac Roberts; uncles, Troy and John Roberts and Derrick Mauskemo; aunts, Norma and Keshena Roberts; cousins, Nora Moreno, Ian Halverson and Ezra Seymour; and grandmother, Sharon Mauskemo.
