Alexander Kevin Mauskemo, 60, of Montour, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Unity Point Health - Marshalltown from a second battle with cancer. Alexander was born on March 4, 1957, on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama, Iowa to Alexander Mauskemo and Marjorie Kapayou-Mauskemo.

Traditional Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the McIntosh Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Homer Bear Jr. as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Wednesday evening at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement.

Immediate survivors are son, Derrick; daughters, Delilah and Alexah; grandchildren, Sarayna, Jazlynn, Avianna, and Durell; brothers, Randy, Kenneth, and Aaron; sisters, Adrienne and Joni; aunts, Sharon and Wanda; cousin, Todd; and several cousins, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces.

Preceding Alexander in death were his parents and one brother, Derrick; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
