Alicia Lee Bolen, 30, of Toledo, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 peacefully at home. Visitation will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4-6 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Memorial Service following at 6:00 PM with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Masks should be worn at the attendee's personal discretion.

Alicia was born on October 17, 1990, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Jennifer Bolen.

Alicia graduated from STC High School. She loved babies and with her mom, babysat for her cousins and several other children for many years. Alicia enjoyed movies, music, balloons, dancing, animals, and being entertained. Alicia had a smile and laugh that was contagious.

Survivors include her mother, Jennifer Bolen (Calvin Haynes) of Toledo; one brother, Alex Ramirez (Maggie Fernandez) of Marshalltown; one niece, Evelyn Ramirez; grandfathers, Ben (Jean) Bolen of Tama, and Leonard Hlas of Belle Plaine; aunts and uncles, Lynette (Mike) Anderson, Katie (Aaron) Hulin, Megan (Kyle) Hlas, Rob Bolen (Kristi Callahan), Wes (Jess) Bolen, and Daniel Bolen; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Linda Hlas; great-grandparents, Clarence and Gretta Fisher, and Bruce Sr. and Olive Bolen.

A memorial fund will be established.
