Obituary

Alma Freida (Wagner) Vitek Benda Ledvina, 91, of Elberon, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at her daughter's home in Bondurant under the care of Mercy Hospice. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Alma was born on September 17, 1924, in rural Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Vitosky) Wagner.
Her first marriage was to Lester P. Vitek. He passed away in 1957. Then she married Ludwig Benda and he passed away in 1979. On September 27, 1985, she married Stanley Ledvina. Alma liked gardening, sewing and was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed fishing, playing Pepper, Solitaire, word search puzzles and going to the casino.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Ledvina of Elberon; one daughter, Jeannette (Clint) Graham of Bondurant; two grandchildren, Christopher (Julie) Vitek of Altoona and Scott Graham of Bondurant; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Jenna Vitek; one brother, Robert (Aletta) Wagner of Ann Arbor, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Lester and Ludwig; one daughter, Marjorie Benda; a stepson, Jerry Benda; two brothers, Lester and Carl Wagner; and two sisters, Ella Sieck and Betty Ann Mulligan.
