Angelina was born on August 2, 1941, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of George Edwin and Fannie (Benson) Kapayou Sr. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown until her retirement. Angelina enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; watching television, "gotta watch my shows", Live With Kelly and Michael Strahan, Wheel of Fortune, The Young And The Restless, golf, and Kansas City Chiefs Football; spending time at the casino; and watching her friends, the deer, out of her bedroom window. There are plenty things our mother and ko-ko loved to do, but these memories of her are what we would like to share.
Survivors include one daughter Deana Shelley Kapayou of Tama; three sons, Dean Stanford Kapayou of Tama, Steven Joe Kapayou of Tama, and Adam Kapayou Sr. of Tama; thirteen grandchildren, Jordan Theus Knight Kapayou, Raven Angelina Aireon Kapayou, Aiden Hunter Kapayou, Amaya Kapayou, Stanford Kapayou, Shauna Kapayou, Zeara Kapayou, Okoye Kapayou, Harrison Kapayou, Aja Kapayou, Anjali Kapayou, Falon Kapayou, Adam Kapayou Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Jerome Kapayou, Sade Kapayou, Cahysia Kapayou, Tayven Kapayou, and Yvette Kapayou; one sister, Georgia Keraghan of Toledo; adopted siblings, Virgil Slick, Audrey Slick, and Gary Davenport Sr.; a goddaughter, Estelle Elsie Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
