TOLEDO- Ann Bauer, age 67, of Toledo, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 1PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo with Rev. Bobby Shomo officiating.
Ann was born on June 19, 1942, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, the daughter of Lee and Beth (Boswell) Possoit.
She graduated from Mangolia High School in Texas and also received an associate's degree.
On May 2, 1963, she was united in marriage to Stanley Bauer in Tomball, Texas. Ann had previously worked at the Meskwaki Casino buffet and volunteered at the Community Clothes Closet in Tama. She enjoyed traveling and bus tours.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her husband, Stan in 1998.
Survivors include two children, Beth (Jack) Young of Tama and Craig (Trish) Bauer of Greenwood, Arkansas; her mother, Beth Possoit of Crocket, Texas; six grandchildren, Dustin and Garrett Young, Chaz Garcia, Sandell Bauer, Cody Bauer and Kara Bauer; one sister, Kathy (B.L.) Petersen of Crocket, Texas; and one brother, Sonny (Claudine) Possoit of Tomball, Texas.
Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice.
