Obituary

Arlene Mae Craun, 81, of Toledo passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Grace Henderson and Rachel Erickson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 4 - 7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Arlene was born on May 27, 1933, at her grandparents home in Haven, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Marie (Pennell) Klenk.
She attended Haven School and later earned her Med Aid employed with Nursing care.
On April 19, 1954, she was united in marriage to Alvin "Jess" Craun in Boone, Iowa and they made their home in Toledo. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, knitting and her daily coffee with friends at Big T.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Alvin "Jess" of Toledo; three daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Pansegrau, Judie Womack and Rhonda (Loyce) Staker all of Toledo; three sons, Alan (Leiah) Craun of Le Grand, Robert (Kathy) Craun and Curt Craun both of Toledo; fourteen grandchildren, Kellie Pansegrau, Scott (Nikki) Pansegrau, Matt (Janelle) Pansegrau, Brenna (Brian) DeLong, Jessica (Rick) Marks, Angie and David Stevens, Jason (Jessica) Craun, Chad Craun, Jamie (Jeremiah) Mussman, Bryan (Kelsey) Staker, Shelby Staker, Riley and Peyton Craun; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Evan Klenk of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Roberta Fricke of Gilman and LaRue (Steve) Reis of Green Mountain; and many nieces and nephews. She was considered "MaMa Craun" by many others.
Preceding her in death were her parents; twin sons, Ricky Alvin and Randy Alvin Craun; three brothers, Vernon, John and Arlen Klenk; one sister, Pearl Wilkerson.
