Audrey Ann Burns, 76, of Des Moines, passed away, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement with Larry Lasley Sr. as speaker.

Audrey was born on August 15, 1945, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Moses Slick and Bessie Youngbear.

Audrey retired from CenturyLink as a Circuit Designer. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver. Audrey loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She consumed books regularly and loved TV shows about nature and animals.

Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Burns and Angelena (Marlando "Moe") Cason; grandkids, Montgomery, Mahalia, Sedalia, and Sage Cason; sister, Charlene Slick; brother, Virgil Slick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Raymond and Wilbur Slick; sisters, Eurene Dickey, Rena Slick in infancy, and Naomi Wanatee.
