Audrey Kay Dostal, 72, of Toledo passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Hospice Compassus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Audrey was born on April 14, 1942, in Eagle Center, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard and Margaret (Bauler) Schons.
She graduated from Don Bosco High School and then graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids.
On June 15, 1963, she was united in marriage to Bernard R. Dostal at St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel in Eagle Center, Iowa. Audrey worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Mallory for twenty years and another twenty years for Grandview Care Center in Toledo before retiring. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. She and Bernard enjoyed playing cards in card clubs and later on she played cards at the Senior Activity Center in Toledo.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Dostal of Toledo, Kevin Dostal of Toledo and Tony (Stacey) Dostal of Marshalltown; four grandchildren, Rayne, Chance, Justin and Kelsey; her siblings, Carolyn (John) Becker of Jesup, Dorothy (John) Weber of Bettendorf, Alan (Diane) Schons of North Liberty, Elaine (Rick) Tracy of Arizona and Wesley (JoAnn) Schons of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Bernard in 2005.
A memorial fund has been established.
