Barbara Jean Evans, 70, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2020 at her home under the care of her family and Iowa River Hospice. It was her wish to be cremated and there will be a family led Celebration of Life on Sunday June 28, 2020 from 1-5 PM at the State Bank of Toledo Community Room.

Barbara was born on August 6, 1949, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Blair and Evelyn (Jones) Brewer.

She graduated from Marshalltown High School.

Barbara retired from GE Capital in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed garage sales and watching Chicago PD. She loved her dogs but her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Laurie (Garrick) Davenport of Toledo, and Rick (Regina) Evans of  Centralia, MO; four grandchildren, Nichole Lee (Ashley) Eubanks, Tucker Evans, Jackson Evans, and Taylor Davenport; one great-granddaughter, Nova due in September; two brothers, Dennis (LeAnn) Brewer of the Colony, TX, and Chuck (Wendy) Brewer of Wellsburg; and many adopted grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one niece, Jill Denise Brewer; and many aunts and uncles.
