TAMA-Barbara L. Feisel, 78, of Tama, passed away December 23, 2010 at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 4 to 7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Barbara was born on November 23, 1932, in Big Grove Township, Benton County, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Alva (Nieland) Strellner.
She graduated from Tama High School in 1950.
On September 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to Mason Feisel at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Malcom, Iowa. Barb was a devoted member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama. She loved sewing and was a seamstress in the area for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season. Barb was a wonderful wife and mother.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband on December 27, 1993; and one granddaughter, Angel Feisel.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey M. Feisel of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Cathy (Jim) Durkop of Delmar and Susan Feisel of Tama; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, Joshua and Jessica Durkop, Jillian (Erik) Rockwell, Jeff Fiesel Jr. and Dan Walbridge; one great-granddaughter, Jazmine Withers-Walbridge; and one sister, Nancy (Jim) Mitchell of Tama.
A memorial fund has been established.
