Betty Jean Miller, 83, of Montour passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Premier Estates of Toledo. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Betty was born on February 20, 1932 in Wakefield, KS, the daughter of John Delbert and Thelma Louise (Horner) Shandy.
She married Jacob Kempton Yakle in Junction City, KS and they later divorced. She then married Ron Miller and they later divorced. Betty most recently worked at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown as a dietitian. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved her dogs.
Survivors include three sons, David A. Yakle of Montour, Steve Yakle of Palm Harbor, FL and Calvin Yakle of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Roger Smith, Tammy Heck, Tristan Yakle and Bradley Yakle; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Ken Yakle; four sisters; and one brother.
A memorial fund has been established.
