CHELSEA-Billie Dawn Drafahl Fluke, age 46, of Chelsea, entered into rest on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at her home, surrounded by loved ones and under the care of Iowa River Hospice following a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 2 PM at the Chelsea United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rector Cemetery in rural Chelsea. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 5-8 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Billie Dawn Drafahl Fluke was born on July 22, 1960 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Judith (Denniston) Drafahl.
She graduated from South Tama County High School in 1978.
On August 20, 1999, she was united in marriage to David Fluke Sr. at their home in Chelsea. Together they raised their children, Terrence, Jessica and Daniel Aguilar, niece, Kimberly Folk, nephew, Nathan Tuesburg, niece, Britani Davies, and nephew, Thomas Stout.
Billie was a long time member of the Chelsea United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time riding in the semi over the road with her husband, sewing, quilting, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were one brother David Drafahl; her grandparents, Gus and Irene Drafahl, Pearl Guthrie and William Denniston.
She is survived by her husband, David Fluke Sr. of Chelsea; her mother, Judith (William) Miller of Ottumwa; her father, Glen (Jean) Drafahl of Woodville, OH; one brother, Larry Drafahl of Ottumwa; one sister, Peggy Tuesburg of Marengo; her children, Terrence Aguilar, currently stationed at Camp Lejuene in North Carolina; Jessica Aguliar (Rossano Wabaunasee) of Tama, Daniel (Melissa) Aguilar of Roland, David (Beth) Fluke Jr. of Clearville, PA, Melissa Fluke (Steven College) of Altoona, PA; nieces, Kimberly Folk of Monticello and Britani Davies of Williamburg; nephew, Nathan Tuesburg of Marengo. She leaves behind seven grandsons, Dylan, Joseph, Dakota, Steven Jr., Christopher, Ezekiel, and Alexander; and two granddaughters, Brittany and Savannah.
