TOLEDO-Carol Elizabeth Hennessy, age 84, of Toledo, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Memorial Services and Interment will be private.
Carol was born on November 21, 1924, in Modena, WI, the daughter of Elmer and Lydia (Schmoker) Heck.
She married Donald Hennessy on April 19, 1976 at the Presbyterian Church in Toledo.
Carol was a bookkeeper for various grain elevators and also had previously worked for MICA. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Carol enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing piano.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and one niece.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of Toledo; her children, Alison Damon of Des Moines, Susy Damon of Chicago, Martha Damon of McHenry, IL, Randall (Patty) Damon of Des Moines, Patricia Damon of Bisbee, AZ, Phyllis Damon of Des Moines, Jonathan (Sarah) Damon of Plano, TX, Tina Shea of Toledo, Adonica Hennessy of Tama, Delrae Hennessy of Toledo, LaSiene (Casey) Kapayou of Tama; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Hackman of Iowa City; one nephew; and two nieces.
