TAMA-Charise Idell Lasley, 40, of Tama, passed away, Saturday, December 21, 2024. A Traditional Wake will be held Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Eagle Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Charise was born on August 22, 1984, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Deneen Lasley.

She graduated from high school and then attended Marshalltown Community College graduating with an RN degree. Charise enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her mother, Deneen Lasley of Tama; her children, Alayla and Auden Gallardo; brothers, Derek Dye and Daniel Dean Ahumada; sisters, Nicole Ahumada and Jessica Ahumada; uncles, Talbert Davenport Jr., Jason Davenport, Travis Davenport, Delbert Davenport, Luke Kapayou, all of Tama and Danny Wabaunasee of Toledo; aunts, Deeanne Lasley of Toledo, Tamela Davenport of Tama, and Melanie Davenport of Toledo.

Charise was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lynn Davenport.
