Clark Jay Lasley, "tta-ki-to-ka-ne-a" 67, of Tama, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023 at his home. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. A Traditional Wake will be held Monday evening at the Eagle Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement.

Clark was born on December 29, 1955, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Jessup and Leila (Buffalo) Lasley.

Clark enjoyed dancing in his younger years. He liked watching COPS, Westerns and playing Solitaire.

Survivors include two sons, Waylon Lasley of OK and Jesse Lasley of Des Moines; sisters, Priscilla Wanatee of Tama, Peggy (Johannes Sr.) Wanatee of Tama, Patsy Lasley of Tama, Stella Mae (Ray) Young Bear of Tama, Eloise Lasley of Tama, and Darlene Snowball of MD; adopted siblings; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Carmen Wanatee, 1st. Eloise Lasley, Nadine Big Bear and Violet Cleveland; brother, Gordon Lasley Sr; and his twin brother, Mark Jay Lasley.
