Connie Rae Black Cloud, 58, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Tama passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Cedar Rapids. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Sunday, August 12,  2018 at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement with Homer Bear Jr. as speaker.  A Traditional Wake will be held Saturday evening at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Connie was born on June 17, 1960, the daughter of Wilford "Lujack" Black Cloud and Bernice Ghost Bear. She grew up on the Meskwaki Settlement.

She graduated from South Tama High School. Connie enjoyed going to the Casino, Pow Wows and spending time with her children.

Survivors include her children, Davina Roland, Lambert Hatfield, Lance Black Cloud, Henry Pirtle, Aletha Pirtle and Cedric Phillips; several grandchildren; a great grandson; and several cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
