Connie Marie Welsh, 65, of Tama, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Connie was born on August 22, 1955, in West Union, Iowa, the daughter of  Derold K. and Shirley Ann (Sutter) Halverson.

Connie worked at Lennox for ten years and Traer Manufacturing for eighteen years. She enjoyed cooking, baking with the grandkids, camping, fishing, sightseeing and going to the Casino. Her greatest joy was hanging out with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Schultz of Tama; children, Tina (Matt) Fisher of Chapman, KS, Tonya (Matt) Probasco of Tama, Twisty Welsh of Tama, Aaron (Holly) Welsh of Marshalltown, and Scott Welsh of Tama; thirteen grandchildren, Dalton and Shi-ann Fisher, Tyla Ordaz, Jaret and Tanner Probasco, Macy and Claire Welsh, Kyler, Karter and Brielle Welsh, Elyse Roseland, and Hannah and Scarlett Welsh; two great-grandchildren, Keele Ordaz, and Emma-June Arp-Fisher; two brothers, Steven (Andrianne) Halverson of Marshalltown, and Brian (Deb) Halverson of Toledo; six sisters, Karen (Craig) Mann of Toledo, Robin (James) Buckley of Tama, Brenda (Tom) Anderson of Tama, Candee Garcia of Brush, CO, Raylene (Jose) Jimenez of Garwin, and Monica Halverson of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orie and Millie Schultz; brother-in-law, Chon Garcia; nephew, Ian Halverson; niece, Anna Jo Halverson; great-nephew, Lando Valadez; great-niece, Faith Garcia; and her beloved dog, Misty.

A memorial fund will be established.
