TAMA- Corita Sue Kesl, age 61, of Tama, died Monday, June 2, 2008 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama following a short illness. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with the family present from 6-8 PM. Private Interment will be at a future date at Rose Hill Gardens in Marshalltown.
Corita was born on October 25, 1946, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Lowell and Wanda (Doby) Lacina.
She graduated from Tama High School.
Corita was married to Gary Kesl and they later divorced. She formerly worked for the Meskwaki Bingo-Casino. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and grandkids.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepmother, Betty Lacina; one son, Jeremy Kesl; and one brother, Dennis Lacina.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Jon) Kalinay of Chelsea and Ronda (Steve) Vojtech of Grinnell; six grandchildren, Wyatt, Wes and Remington Kalinay, Olivia and Blake Vojtech, and Breanna Kesl-Phillips; two sisters, Norma Baker of Plano, TX and Lola (Jack) Fidiga of Centerville; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Lacina of Toledo.
A memorial fund has been established.
