Craig J. Wobeter, 41, of Toledo, passed away May 25, 2017 at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 2, 2017, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher and Deacon Joe Behounek as celebrants. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in rural Clutier. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5 -7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Craig was born on July 31, 1975, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mary Paulette (Waner) Wobeter.

He graduated from South Tama High School in 1994 and attended Ellsworth Community College for two years.

On October 10, 1997, he married Stephanie Welton in Marshalltown. They later divorced. Craig was employed by Hrabak Lumber in Toledo. He was a member of the Toledo American Legion. Craig was a fan of Iowa Hawkeyes and Denver Broncos. He had participated in 4-H and FFA in high school. Craig enjoyed raising Black Angus Cattle. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Carson and Caiden Wobeter of Marshalltown; his mother, Paulette Wobeter of Toledo; one brother, Curt (Karin) Wobeter of Toledo; one nephew, Austin Wobeter; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul on August 26, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
