Dale J. Silhanek's Obituary
TAMA-Dale J. Silhanek, 62, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Chaplain David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2009 from 4-8 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Dale was born on July 28, 1947 in Tama, the son of Otto and Sophia (Rund) Silhanek.
On April 30, 1977 he was united in marriage to Beth Helfter at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Dale was a rural mail carrier for the Tama Post Office.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister in infancy, Sandra.
Survivors include his wife, Beth; sons, Virgil (Marcia), Roy (Sarah) and Raymond (Leslie); grandchildren, Rachel and Wyatt; sisters, Doris (Wayne) Patterson, Betty Jean (Wayne) Swacker and Sharon Kay Knudson and nieces, nephews and friends.
