Damian Edwin McLeod, 23, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at his home. He lived a life of fullness with a heart of kindness. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 , at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Father Michael McAndrew officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Damian was born on May 27, 1999 in Marshalltown Iowa to Deborah. He was the baby boy that was born on the last day of school.

Damian attended South Tama Community Schools (STC) up until 9th grade. After STC, Damian attended Greene County Community Schools and graduated in 2017. Damian further attended Marshalltown Community College and graduated in 2020 with an Associates of Art. He was a current student at Buena Vista University working towards his Bachelor of Arts in Human Services. In Damian's free time, he enjoyed being around family and playing online with his friends that he made at both STC and Greene. Damian always appreciated not only his friends but the teachers that had made an impact in his life in both places he has lived. Damian was a young man that would listen and help anyone in need and believed in others' kindness.

Damian was currently employed at Kwik Star and Carroll Family Resource Center. When Damian was not working at Kwik Star, he was assisting his brother Drake in community services. Damian and his brother were not only brothers but close friends. Damian was always there for his family and friends.

Damian is survived by his mother and step-father Dr. Deborah and Todd Boldt, one brother, Drake, step-brothers (Brandon, Brody, Tanner, and Taylor). Grandparents Patricia Nied, and Roger and Marcella Boldt. One Uncle, Jerry (Amy) Dolash. Cousins; Travis, Brandi, Candace, Kristen, Jeramy, and Jamy. Damian also has cousins in various parts of the United States.

Damian was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Lee Dolash in 1995; step-grandfather Byron (2020); one aunt Melissa (2000) and one grandmother Elouise Rayman (2004).

A memorial fund will be established.
