Obituary

Delmar Alfred Steuhm, 75, of Waterloo and formerly of Toledo, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo under the care of Unity Point Hospice. Delmar gave the gift of life through tissue donation. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of service at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Delmar was born on May 8, 1943 in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Ruth (Baustian) Steuhm.

He attended Tama schools through the 8th grade.

Delmar did factory work and other miscellaneous jobs as well as working at Pamida and mowing lawns. He loved cars and collected coins and stamps. Delmar also enjoyed going to the casino.

Survivors include two brothers, Donnie (Cindy) Steuhm of Tama, and Carl Steuhm of Marshalltown; two nieces, Kim (Jim) Parham and Kelly Steuhm; two nephews, Donnie (Brenda) Steuhm Jr., and Chris (April) Steuhm. He is also survived by cousins and other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Alfred Steuhm and Ruth Abbott; and one brother, Dale Steuhm.

Memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in Marshalltown, Diamond in the Ruff Rescue in Marshalltown, or Unity Point Hospice.
