Delores Jane Hand, 89, of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Tama, passed away August 6, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, AZ.  A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama.

Delores was born on March 20, 1935, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Claude G. and Dorothy (Templeton) Sawin.

She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1952.

On January 9, 1954, she was united in marriage to Floyd W. Hand in Marshalltown. Delores had worked at Lennox in Marshalltown and owned and operated Hand Funeral Home in Tama with Floyd.

Survivors include her children, Larry A. Hand of Colton, CA, Jeffrey W. Hand of Keller, TX and Sandra K. Spencer of Stateline, NV; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Ostendorf of Kennewick, WA; and several nieces and nephews

Preceding her in death were her parents; Husband Floyd in 2008; daughter, Cynthia L. Arias; and a great-granddaughter.
