TAMA-Dennis Wayne Plum, 56, of Bettendorf and formerly of Tama, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center in Bettendorf after a long term illness. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama.
Dennis was born January 26, 1955, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to James and Lucille (Kunch) Plum. He graduated from South Tama High School. After his marriage to Karen Mayo, they moved to San Diego, CA where he worked for DoAll. He transferred to DoAll in Tucson, AZ then to his home state of Iowa in 2001. His favorite past time was watching his daughter Diana at all her sporting events. His cheers will be greatly missed.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, James and an infant son, Jason.
Survivors include his mother, Lucille Plum of Toledo; a son, Chad of Gloucester, VA; daughters, Melissa (Bob) Plum-Goddin of Sterling, VA, Diana at home and Rachel (Heath) Palmer of Davenport; his brothers, Terry (Paula) Plum of Mammoth Lakes, CA and Doug (Olivia) Plum of El Cajon, CA; his sisters, Denise Plum of Glendale, AZ and Dixie (Eric) Walker of Cedar Rapids; as well as his former wife, Karen of Bettendorf.
A memorial fund has been established.
