TAMA-Dennis L. Ribby, 70, of Tama, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Iowa Hospice. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.
Dennis was born on July 30, 1941, in Tama, Iowa, the son of Lucille Ribby Mears.
He worked thirty years for Mid-Iowa Workshop in Marshalltown without missing a day and ten years at the Tama County Career Development Center. Dennis lived in a home staffed by CIRSI for twelve years. He enjoyed music.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Ribby Mears; his grandparents, Ralph and Laura Ribby; and his aunt, Edith Shefchik.
Survivors include three cousins, Larry Shefchik of Tama, Donna Ribby Klinzing of Missouri and Kevin Ribby of Missouri; and special friends, John and Heidi Purk of Toledo.
