Obituary

TOLEDO-Diane Rose Hoffer, 76, of El Paso, Texas and formerly of Toledo, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at her home. Graveside Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Rock Valley Cemetery in rural Marshalltown.
Diane was born on August 23, 1936, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Neal and Albina (Peshel) Sells.
She graduated from Toledo High School in 1954, where she lettered in Basketball for three years.
In September of 1956, she married Jerry Martin Hoffer and had two children, Ronald Martin and Craig William. Diane moved to El Paso, Texas in the summer of 1965 to raise her family and begin her life. She attended Bryman School of Medical Assistants and graduated number one in her class and began a career as a dental assistant in1973 until her retirement in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Duane Sells; and her niece, Lisa Warner.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Tami) Hoffer and family of Port Charlotte, FL, and Craig Hoffer of El Paso, TX; four grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Ryan, and Tess; one great-granddaughter, Charlie; her sister, Doris Valline of Toledo; and one brother, Leon Sells of Ames.
The family would like to express special thanks and gratitude to Mrs. Patricia Habbit and family for their unconditional love, friendship, and support during this time and for the past forty-eight years.
