Dillon James Dostal, 30, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Rex Strayer officiating. A Private Interment will be held at a future date. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 3-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Dillon was born on February 21, 1992, in Marshalltown Iowa, the son of Dennis and Melinda (Long) Dostal.

He graduated from South Tama County High School in 2010. Dillon was active in the Arc program in Marshalltown. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and a cowboy. He loved rodeos and his presence at the DD Rodeo was known by everyone as he was a friend to all. Dillon enjoyed driving his Allis Chalmers B-10 tractor and pulling his mini hayrack in parades. He was a big computer buff and farmed everyday on his Farm Simulator. Dillon rode in the semi and combine with his dad whenever he could. He enjoyed his pets and LEGO sets.

Survivors include his parents, Melinda Dostal of Toledo and Dennis Dostal (Vickie Lacina) of Toledo; his siblings, Kathy (Bruce) Kucera of Traer, Darin (Melissa) Dostal of Simpsonville, SC and Drew (Mikaella) Dostal of Independence; maternal grandparents, Bill and Virginia Long of Marshalltown; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Nathan and Madelyn Kucera, Jolene, Tyler, Lucas and Caleb Dostal; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Dostal; and his uncle, Jeff Boelter.
