Donald Edward Benda, 83, of Tama, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Toledo.

Donald was born on January 17, 1942, in Toledo, Iowa, the son of Albin and Georgia (Poland) Benda.

He graduated from Tama High School.

Donald served his country in the U.S. Army.

Donald was previously married to Sharon Smith and together they had three children, Angela, Tracy, and Terry Benda.

In his working career, Don was in manufacturing for a couple of pipe companies.

Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He became a very good photographer on his outdoor adventures.

Survivors include his children, Tracy Benda of Seymour, TN, and Terry Benda of San Pueblo, CA; granddaughter, Autumn Martinez of Reno, NV; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and daughter, Angela Benda.
