Obituary

Dorothy Mildred Belton, 94, of Tama, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at Carrington Place of Toledo under the care of Hospice Compassus. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Interment will follow at St Wenceslaus Cemetery in Clutier. Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Dorothy was born on December 21, 1918, in Clutier, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Vincencie (Husak) Buresh.
She attended Carroll Township #5 Country School, west of Clutier.
On August 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Guy Belton in Missouri. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, flowers and baking, especially kolaches.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Guy; two sons, Edwin Dean Belton and Richard Kaufman; one stepson, Bob Belton; two stepsons-in-law, Terry Wheeler and Dick Long; one step-granddaughter, Katherine Long; a half brother; and a half sister.
Survivors include her children, Harry Kaufman of Wichita, KS, Jo Ann (Buck) Ringler of Grinnell, Sharon (Larry) Beck of Chelsea, Larry (Regina) Belton of Arthur, IL, and Guy Belton of Tama; one stepdaughter, Audrey Wheeler of Urbandale; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Kaufman of Belle Plaine; twenty grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
