Ellene V. Willson, 99, of Tama, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Clint Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Ellene was born on November 14, 1924, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of William and Hessie (Spencer) Abbott.

She graduated from Tama High School.

On May 7, 1949, she was united in marriage to Marion Willson. She was a member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama, Eagles Auxiliary, Ridge Riders Saddle Club and Iowa Draft Horse Association. Ellen enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Survivors include her son, Lynn (Jacci) Willson of Eldora; one grandson, Raymond Willson of Beaumont, TX; siblings, Mabel Clark of Franklin Grove, IL, Wanda (Paul) Soule of Burlington, Glenn Abbott of the Chicago area, and Shirley (Lee) Fisher of Tama; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marion; one son, Larry in 2000; two sisters; and one brother.
