CHELSEA- Eric Dee Graham, age 36, of Chelsea, died Monday, March 16, 2009 in an automobile accident in Tama County. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Jerry Avise-Rouse officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2009 from 4-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Eric was born on January 31, 1973, in Sylva, NC, the son of James and Betty (Shook) Graham.
In 1991, he graduated from Smokey Mountain High School in Sylva, NC.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1991-1996 and was honorably discharged as an Engine man 3rd Class.
On April 7, 2000, he married Spring McGuire in Tama, Iowa. Eric was a B&E Supervisor for Swift & Company in Marshalltown. He was an avid Mustang fan and enjoyed working on cars, playing softball, hunting, blue grass, Celtic, and bagpipe music. He also enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler with his friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Dee and Cornelia Shook and Delcie Graham.
Survivors include his wife, Spring of Chelsea; four daughters, Sydney Walther of Belle Plaine, and Ashton, Kassidy and Shelby Graham at home; his parents, James and Betty Graham of Tuckasegee, NC; his grandmother, Alberta Shook of Sylva, NC; one brother, Paul (Angela) Graham of Englehard, NC; one sister, Heather Plemmons (Jason) of Chester, SC; his father and mother-in-law, Robert Jr. and Teressa McFall of Tama; nieces and nephews, Braxton Mai, Makaylah and Hunter Plemmons, and William and Elizabeth Graham; sisters-in-law, Ashley Henderson and Donna McFall both of Tama; brother-in-law, Robert McFall III of Tama; grandparents-in-law, Robert Sr. and Tressie McFall of Reno, NV; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial fund has been established.
