Ethel Pauline Willer Clark, 94, of Alamo, California, formerly of Whitesboro, New York and Tama, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 26 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Warren Riley officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.
Ethel was born on March 25, 1923, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of August and Johanna (Frahm) Willer. She graduated from Tama High School in 1941. Prior to marriage, Ethel taught in a one room school house, and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service. She married James Russell Clark in 1949.
Before moving to California in 2013, Ethel lived in Whitesboro, New York for over 50 years.
Ethel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Hartford, NY. She belonged to the P.E.O. and was a former member of the Mohawk Valley Quilt Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Beth (Larry) Kaye of Alamo, CA; two sons, Kurt Clark of Broomfield, CO and Don (Lola) Clark of Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren, Megan and Andrew Kaye; two sisters-in-law, Bernice and Shari Willer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Russ in 2001; her siblings, Elaine Lenhart and Marvin "Bud" and Roger Willer.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama or Zion Lutheran Church in New Hartford, NY.
