Eurene Dickey, 86, of Tama passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare in Marshalltown under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement with Mike Keahna as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Monday evening at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Eurene was born on September 5, 1931 in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Moses and Bessie (Youngbear) Slick. She was united in marriage to Harold Dickey in Redfield, Iowa and they resided in Des Moines. Eurene worked for Younkers until her retirement. She liked sewing, beading, and watching her favorite TV shows. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Survivors include her brother, Virgil Slick of Tama; two sisters, Charlene Slick of Tama and Audrey Burns of Des Moines; her grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Harold; brothers, Raymond and Wilbur Slick; and sisters, Rena Slick in infancy and Naomi Wanatee.
