Evelyn Chyma, 91, of Wauwatosa, WI and formerly of Tama, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Andy Upah and Deacon Stan Upah officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
Evelyn was born on July 23, 1926, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Maude (Mochal) Chyma.
She graduated from Tama High School in 1944 and from St. Joseph's School in Minneapolis, MN as an x-ray technician. She went to Milwaukee, WI to work until retirement. Evelyn was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include one sister, Joann K. (Roger) Wacha of Toledo; her sister-in-law, Mary Chyma of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph in 1975, and Maude in 1974; two brothers, Paul in 1997, and Lloyd in 2018; and one sister-in-law, Myona in 2017.
