On June 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Hempy at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Frances, along with her devoted husband, was a lifetime farmer, homemaker, and owner/operator of the Hickory Hill Lake and Go-Cart Track, which were located on the family farm.
