Obituary

TAMA-Gaylen Reed "Bobo" Morgan, age 58, of the Meskwaki Settlement died Tuesday evening, January 27, 2009 after an automobile accident on the Settlement. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery with Michael Keahna as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Thursday evening at the Lasley Ceremonial Building on the Settlement.
Gaylen was born on August 26, 1950, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Gailey and Clara (YoungBear) Morgan.
He attended Tama School and graduated from Marshalltown High School. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. "Bobo" enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with friends and especially family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Gerald and Gary; and nephews, Anthony Kapayou and George Sanache.
Survivors include his common law wife, Gail Walker of Toledo; three sons, Gabriel, Gareth, and Gerald Morgan all of Tama; three daughters, Tika Morgan (Martine) of Davenport, Maggi Morgan of Tama, and Lucy (Beau) Kapayou of Tama; his step-children, Keelan, Irene, and Kendra of Toledo; four brothers, Gailey R. Morgan Jr., Gene Morgan, Gary Davenport, Adrian Pushetonequa, all of Tama; three sisters, Sylvia Kapayou of Tama, Loretta Begay of Phoenix, AZ, and Marlene Morgan of Tama; his grandchildren, Mollie, Isabelle, Abrielle, Meranda, Mileena, Graylen, Miris, Gareth Jr., Dacia, Ezra, Sammy, Martin, Syncere, Symphoni, and Azalee; nephews, Gailey Morgan III of Santa Fe, NM, Gary Morgan, and Gaylord Morgan both of San Diego, CA; along with many other relatives.
