Gordon Lee Roberts, 66, of Tama, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Unity Point-Marshalltown. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement with Mike Keahna as speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Tuesday evening at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Gordon was born on September 17, 1952, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Mae (Keahna) Roberts. He attended school through the tenth grade and later earned his GED. Gordon served his country in the U.S. Army. He was married to Jeanne Yellowbank, and she preceded him in death. Gordon had worked in construction and roofing until his retirement.

Survivors include four children, Steve Roberts of Tama, Josetta (Stephen) Albert of Tama, Angel (Alex) Duarte of Des Moines, and Issiah Roberts of Tama; two brothers, Llewellyn Roberts and Elmer Roberts Sr. both of Tama; eight grandchildren, Stephen "Daibwe" Albert, Shoney Albert, Artorious Albert, Royal Albert, Aeriel Albert, Laraina Roberts, Alayna Duarte, and Ayden Duarte; and one great-grandson, Vincent Albert. Gordon is also survived by several other grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Jeanne; two sons, Gerald Roberts and Elton Roberts; two brothers, Raye and Wilson Roberts; and a sister, Roberta Roberts.
