TAMA-Lifetime Tama County farmer, Harvey James Huhn, age 87, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 8:30 AM at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.
Harvey was born to Fred and Lucille (Hand) Huhn on April 18, 1922. Harvey married Willia Brown on July 14, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa at the Community of Christ Church. They made their home in southern Tama County for fifty-eight years. Harvey and his family were active members of the Community of Christ Church in Toledo. Harvey was never too busy to visit or help a neighbor. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife Willia of Marshalltown; two daughters, Pat (Doug) Latham of Earlham and Pam (John) Harrington of Haverhill; four grandchildren, Wyatt Douglas Latham of Ankeny, Tara Ann (Chad) Holt of Bondurant, Angela Kae Sevde and fiancé Mark Whaley of Maxwell, and Matthew Mark Sevde of Haverhill; five step-grandchildren; a brother Robert Huhn of Toledo; two brothers-in-law, Harold Brown of Cedar Falls and Jim Brown of California; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Elders Tom Lizer and Don Cole officiating. Private interment will be held at a future date. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
