TAMA-Jason F. Hill, age 36, of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Tama passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 30, 1971 in Grinnell, IA, the son of Hugh Hill and Barbara Yilek. He married Gina Kraus on June 17, 1995 in Cascade, IA. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and was employed in the family business, Sut-Hill Motors in Prairie du Chien, WI. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He loved boating, water skiing and Jason's smile could brighten anyone's day. He was a member of St. John's Church in Prairie du Chien, Ducks Unlimited and Kiawanis. He was a great family man and is survived by his wife Gina and their children Tessa Katelyn and Tyson Fredrick, his father Hugh "Sut" (Tammy) Hill of Prairie du Chien and his mother Barbara (Daryl) Yilek Probst of Owatonna, MN, a sister Whitney Hill of Prairie du Chien, 2 step brothers; Brad (April) Humble of McGregor, IA and Chad Humble of Overland KS.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Mon., Feb. 18, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama, IA, with Rev. Mike Mescher officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Friends may call on Sat., Feb. 16, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and on Sun., Feb. 17, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, IA. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. www.garrityfuneralhome.com, www.kruse-phillips.com
