TAMA-Jean E. Reid, 87, of Tama, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Public Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama with Rev. Bobby Shomo officiating.
Jean was born on March 5, 1926, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of John R. and Grace M. (Beal) Reid.
She graduated from Tama High School. Jean worked in the office of the Paper Mill in Tama for over fifty years. She was very generous. Jean enjoyed studying genealogy and shared her knowledge as a volunteer at the Tama County Museum.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Mary Grace Reid and Dorothy M. Reid; and two brothers, John Reid and Tom Reid.
Survivors include one brother, Donald (Vickie) Reid of Federal Dam, MN; a sister-in-law, Barbara Reid of Lawrence, KS; one nephew, Ralph Reid; five nieces, Donna Eakins, Sarah Ross, Laura Denneller, Sharon Talbert and Carol Dungan; one great nephew, Mason Denneller; three great nieces, Rachel Reid, Jessica Ross and Alyssa Denneller; and one great-great nephew, Riley Stubbs.
