Jeanie T. Kriegel, 74, of Tama, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Central Iowa Healthcare in Marshalltown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Vigil Service at 7 PM.

Jeanie was born on June 2, 1942, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of George and Anna (Mihulka) Dolash.
She attended Tama High School.
On August 8, 1959, she was united in marriage to Nicholas Kriegel at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Jeanie was a dispatcher for the Tama County Sheriff's Department from 1972 until 1988. In 1988, she became employed at the Iowa Juvenile Home as a Youth Service Worker until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. Jeanie enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, boating and camping. She also liked to go shopping with the girls.
Survivors include her three daughters, Christine (Steve) Kos of Newton, Connie (Doug) Yuska of Toledo and Karen Prusha of Chelsea; four grandchildren, Andrea Graff, Nicki Yuska, Melissa Eadon and Kyle Prusha; five great-grandchildren, Jaden and Madelyn Graff, Aubrey and Maddox Eadon and Carter Long; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Nicholas on May 15, 1996; four brothers, Merle Dolash, Leo Dolash, Rex Dolash and Dale Dolash; and two sisters, Mary Gayle Bailey and Grace Brandt.
The Family would like to thank Iowa River Hospice and Sunny Hill Care Center for the loving care provided to Jeanie.
A memorial fund has been established.
