TAMA- Jim Duane "Jimmy" Jordan, 58, of Tama, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 5-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. There will be private services and interment at a later date.
Jim was born on December 15, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Robert James and Lena (Smith) Jordan.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Lillibridge in Urbana as a truck driver. Jimmy was formerly a volunteer fireman in Tama. He liked fishing, hunting and camping. His special joy in life was his granddaughter.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; his father; his brother, Doug Jordan; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his daughter, Jenniffer Jordan of Toledo; his granddaughter, Danica Scheller; his mother, Lena Jordan of Marshalltown; his sisters, Jackie Thompson of Tama, Vickie (Bill) Purk of Tama, Tammy Rosales of Marshalltown, Brenda Jordan of Muscatine, Angela Jordan of Toledo and Jill Jordan of Marshalltown; his brothers, Robert (Sheila) Jordan of Marshalltown, Steven (Michelle) Jordan of Kellogg, John (Cindy) Jordan of Marshalltown, Travis Jordan of Marshalltown and Russell Jordan of Marshalltown; two aunts, Lois Jordan of Tama and Darlene Smith of Marshalltown; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established.
