DES MOINES-Jimmy Dean Williams Mitchell, age 51, of Des Moines and formerly of Tama and Waterloo, died Monday, June 22, 2009 at his home in Des Moines. A Private Interment will be held at the Meskwaki Cemetery.
Jimmy was born February 25, 1958, on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama, the son of Mamie Mitchell.
He formerly worked for the A.O. Smith Harvester Company in DeKalb, IL. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Mamie Mitchell; his parents that raised him, William and Donna Mae Williams; and two brothers, Michael and Terry Mitchell.
Survivors include three children, Jennifer (Ernesto) Mancilla of Iowa Falls, Jason Williams of Waterloo, and Billy Williams of Montour; his grandchildren, Marissa, Sol, Ernesto II, Joseph and Matthew; two brothers, Keith and Malcom Mitchell both of Tama; one sister, Barb Prescott of Arkansas; his adopted mother, Liz Roberts of Tama; and three adopted brothers, Adrian Pushetonequa, Ricky Keahna and Troy Roberts all of Tama.
