Obituary

Johnny Verle Dutton, 81, of Tama, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at the Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown. There will be no local public services.

Johnny was born on July 12, 1935, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of John and Wilma (Hughes) Dutton.
He attended school in Marshalltown.
Johnny served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
He previously worked at Gray Iron Foundry in Marshalltown. His hobbies included fishing and watching college sports.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Dutton and Ken (Cindy) Dutton all of Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren, Tim and Ashley Dutton; one great-grandchild, Avens Baker; and one sister, Pauline White of North Carolina.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and four sisters, Verna Packer, Thelma Packer, Elaine Lenox, and Colleen Dutton.
