Josephine Cruz Molina, 95, of Tama, passed away December 19, 2023 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. She was cremated and there will be no local services at this time.

Josephine was born on August 28, 1928 in Bryan, TX, the daughter of Simaon and Conception (Hernandez) Cruz.

On December 29, 1947, she married Nieves Molina in San Antonio, TX. They lived and raised their children in Chicago and she moved to Tama in 1996. Josephine was a sales clerk in ladies wear for forty years at different stores in the Chicago area. She was a member of the Reformed Baptist Church in Tama. In her younger years, she and her husband, Nieves loved to dance. She liked reading and doing puzzles.

Survivors include two children, Esther (Miguel) Montez of Tama and Ruben (Maryann) Molina of Joliet, IL; daughter-in-law, Barbara Molina of Washington State; twelve grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren, living in the states of Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Washington and Texas.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Nieves Molina; four children, Delia Mendoza, Richard Molina, Raul "Roy" Molina and Diana (Mario) Jimenez; and one sister, Eva.
