Kay Ellen Feisel, 64, of Tama, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Kay was born on March 27, 1954, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Bertram "Bert" Frederick and Grace (Dolash) Brandt.

She graduated from South Tama High School.

On November 2, 1991, she married Larry Clifford Feisel. Kay worked at the Town Pump and the VFW in Tama for many years. She also helped Larry on the farm. Kay was a member of the Eagles and VFW Auxiliaries. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, mowing the lawn, crafts, baking, and going to flea markets. Kay was an Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include one daughter, Brandi (Rick) Zhorne of Nashville, TN; two grandsons, Dakota and Sage Zhorne; one sister, Mary Lynn (Ronald) Betz of Tama; one brother-in-law, David (Avon) Feisel of Chariton; two nieces, Heather Betz and Gail (Brandon) Lenhart; and one nephew, Warren (Nikki) Betz.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Larry on August 19, 2013; one brother, Steven Lee Brandt; one sister, Jean Ann Brandt in infancy; and her mother and father-in-law, June and Clifford Feisel.

A memorial fund has been established.
