Kenneth Wade Osipchack, 37, of Chelsea, passed away Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown and was reunited with his mother. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Silver Dollar in Chelsea. A Private Family Burial will be held at Rector Cemetery in Chelsea.

Kenny was born on August 5, 1989, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Tony and Karol (VanDee) Osipchack. After Tony’s death, Karol married Doug Horne, who helped shape Kenny into the man he was.

Kenny graduated from South Tama High School. His jobs included working for Manatt’s, Jiffy North, Meskwaki Bingo & Casino, and many odd jobs.

Kenny enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and anything outdoors. He liked fixing things and tinkering. Kenny loved to cook and grill and spent time playing bags, Poker, and video games.

Survivors include his step-dad, Doug Horne of Chelsea; siblings, Monica Plum of Cedar Rapids, Nicki (Lance) Johannsen of Toledo, Nolan (Jenna) Plum of Tama, and Melissa Osipchack of Chelsea; fiancé, Dusty Bailey of Toledo; maternal grandma, Betty VanDee of Vining; step-grandma, Marjorie Horne of Belle Plaine; nieces, Tamara Bendorf, Carlie (Logan) Andrews, Taylor Johannsen, and Shelby Johannsen; great nieces, Brystol Bendorf, and Ira Hagg; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jean Osipchack; maternal grandpa, John VanDee; step-grandpa, Dareld Horne; and uncles, Randy, Roger, and Ryan VanDee.

Memorial funds may be directed to Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown.
